Program Overveiw
The Mission Hills High School Cardinal Alliance consists of three primary branches that unfold throughout the year: the field show (summer-fall), the color guard show (winter-spring) and the indoor percussion show (winter-spring).
During late summer and throughout the fall, all three elements converge to produce large-scale marching spectacle for spectators. These groups travel around Southern California, and in some years, venture beyond California to compete.
In late winter and throughout spring, color guard transforms into Winter Guard and the front ensemble becomes Indoor Percussion. These two groups preform and compete with new shows seperate from those in the fall.

About This Website
The goal of this website is to provide an important resource for the Mission Hills High School Cardinal Alliance Band Program. It provides current and historical perspectives, presents a library of shows, and features special moments. In a given year, we move and grow as one. This website demonstrates that while students change, the important teamwork, learning, and cohesion continues. This dynamic is why the Cardinal Alliance is a well-oiled machine! We are growing and out-doing ourselves each year. We strive to work together and shine individually through our talents and with the support of the band leadership and directors.
This website was created by Pablo Lara (Mellos, Class of 2027). Michael Martinez (Drum Major 2023) and Abby Centeno (Guard Captain 2023) provided invaluable help with historical background. Gratitude to Zahid Perez Cruz (Drum Major 2023) who provided access to images for the 2023 marching band show. Thanks to Cecilia Lara (SMMS Band member) who helped with online research.
